I use to all ways be horde but then a couple days ago i decided to try out an alliance charater i am a undead level 60 mage in my horde server gul'dan im trying the new char on the same server ive got it to level 12 slowly because i have no idea where to train my chars in alliance Turf.
So my question is this.
Where do i train my mage from
13-20
21-30
31-40
41-50
51-60
and
61-70?
In answering the question you can change the level range on where to train i dont really care i just want my mage leveled up or and im in stormwind city right now.
I like Wii Rocks answer for this. I have lvld 4 characters to 7, and am currently on my 5th, this is what I do:
1-6 whichever zone you start in.
7-13 Elwynn Forest/Westfall (try to kill extra mobs that give you exp, as at this low of a lvl you will see your exp bar gain really fast)
14-20-try to find VC groups, and get all the quests you can get form there. If you have a main that has gold or guildies, try to get runs from higher players. I can usually get 4-5 runs to lvl up, and at 5g or less per pop, not that bad.
20-22 get stockades quests and follow the VC pattern. While itis true that you can get your exp nerfed with a higher lvl in your group, you can have a high lvl mage run this in about 15 min. Getting a pug (especially if you have newer than new noobs in your group) could take about 45 min to an hour to fully clear).
22-26/27 Redridge Mtns. All the quests here are easily doable, and pretty tightly packed. Doing the Night Elf zones, there are more running back and forth than grind mobs to collect quest items imo.
27-30 Gnomeragen If you can get a runthru you should, as this instance sucks to pug, but not that many ppl will do it unless they know/like you personally =D. In any case, as God awful as this place is, I like it for the exp factor. Plus has some good lewts. (I suggest a max of 1-2 times)
*An alternative is to go to darkshire, which I suggest anwyays, as there are some nice long quest lines, easily solable mobs and you should do it in between ques for gnomer.
^ with both of the above, you should hit around 32/33.
33-38 STV. I really wouldn't venture as far south as Booty Bay, but to each his own. The alliance quests in the Northwest should tide you over for a nice little set of experience.
**Mid 30's is one of the longest grinds, so go ot SM as much as possible. So many ppl hate this area and give up on there class bc to me, its the slowest time for lvling.
39-42 Uldaman/Badlands Once again, just quest in Badlands in between ques for Uld (has lots of nice exp and again good lewts for all classes).
@43-50 Tanaris/ZF Prolly won't get A LOT of invites at 43, but mages can be used as CC so you never know. In anycase, don't sit around waiting for invites, just lvl up and wait for ppl to invite you.
50-55 Un'Goro Crater/ST- ST has lots of quests (make sure you pick up the one from arathi highlands-those legs are sexay) and combined with a loth of exp. Plus ppl love having mages in here for aoe, so if you have been fire up until this point ice might be a good way to respecc, but not REALLY crucial.
**If you get bored with this strat, @ 52 go to Burning Stepps, and que up for BRD as you quest everything. Once you hit 55, you can work on the Ony attune chain, which should pull you to about 58 in which cas you would be ready for Outlands.
55-58 I like going to Chillwind point in WPL, and then ventruing a bit into EPL. I don't suggest doing any of the higher lvl instances (other than BRD/LBRS) as they are harder to find groups for now, and really the gear just ins't worth it once you hit Outlands. Anywho, these 2 zones offer lots of exp for solo questing.
@ 58-70, depending on if you are worried about rep or not, I suggest just quest grinding each zone as follows:
HFP 58-62
Zangamarsh 62-64
Terokkar Forest 64-66
Blades Edge Mountains-66-68
Nagrand 68-70 (also, around 68 try to go to Durnholde Keep, and do the Karazahn attunement stuff. Good loots in each instance you go to, and can really increase your leveling).
Then at 70, make sure you have a high tailoring skill, and you can get either the shadoweave or spellfire patterns (depending on your spec) and have some pretty decent gear for kara raiding, and go to Ring of Blood in northern Nagrand, and you got an awesome mage staff
The other benefit to this is to have SMV and Netherstorm completely untouched by the time you hit 70, as you get gold per quest turn in, and on your off raiding time you can farm gold easily. Also, the head piece in SMV will be really good to use in Kara if you don't have much of any other choice.

I have an higher level Alliance character and have started a new Blood Elf, though of course have nothing on the horde side. So, is there a way to transfer gold from the Alliance side, to horde?
By any chance would an Auction House in a Neutral town work?
Its possible, but you need a neutral auction house AND a friend you trust to make it work…
You actually cant bid/buy an item in ANY ah that youve posted with another character, even from the other faction. So, post a white/grey item on the neutral AH with your horde toon, then give your gold to an alli friend to buy the item with.
Be forwarned tho, the neutral AH takes QUITE a chunk out for 'fees' - I think its something like 20%….

I want to make 2 toons for tailoring/enchanting and leathermaking/blacksmith. I have a main that gathers materials but can't do much with them.
Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks in advance!
Hunters level the fastest. This is because they can kill quick and can take on monsters higher in level due to their pet.
There are many leveling guides available on the web on how to lvl the fastest. But hunters are, by far, the fastest to level.
