If i got the burning crusade expansion pack would i have to create a new character? mage power leveling sm
Aug 07

Im going to get world of warcraft but i cant get the burning crusade at the same time.

It's not a problem. There's really no reason before level 58 that you'd want the expansion anyway. Yes, there is a new race for each faction and a new profession but these are not necessary and just to get a feel for the game with your first character you'll end up knowing what you REALLY want to be by the time you are able to pickup the expansion when your budget allows for it. You'll need a bit of time to go from level 1 to 58 anyway. Save up and you should have the extra money in no time.

Yes, you can. Under one condition.

You cannot play the new races, or hit the level 70 cap.

Also, you cannot enter the outlands.

    Hope this helps!

Yes you can, and you should if you have a character under level 58; don't even get the expansion until you're near level 58.

Of course you can. You just won't be able to walk through the Dark Portal in Badland.

Yeah……..but you wont be able to fully enjoy all it has to offer without the expansion. Mainly because it will be too hard to find any lvl 60 raiding groups. Although the 70s can waste time talking trash on Trade on my server, they cant raid ZG with a few lvl 60+ players………you can hold off on it until you get to lvl 58, but if you wanna play horde you are probably going to want to be Blood Elf which means you need the expansion.

you can still play world of warcraft, there's just certain things you cant do without the expansion pack; you dont NEED anything to play it, just the actual WOW game. the expansions just make it better.

Yeah, but you can't play the two new races included in the expansion or do much of anything past level 60. If you really want to play a blood elf or a draenei, I would wait and get the expansion. If you just want to learn how to play the game and make a few friends while you save your money, I say go for it.

Yes. You cannot however access the outlands. You also cannot go past level 60. You cannot create a Draenei or a Blood Elf character. But besides that, you can still play.
